about AFter school intervention (ASI) for reading
The purpose of the After School Intervention (ASI) for reading is to quickly excel students who are just below a proficient level in reading. Placement decisions in the program are based on a review of students' scores on various reading tests, namely the MEAP MAP, and EXPLORE reading assessments. Once students complete all requirements of the ASI program and reach a proficient level on the MAP (8th grade) or EXPLORE (9th grade) reading assessment, they are able to exit the program. Parents/Guardians will be contacted by the school when students have achieved a proficient status. Regular class attendance is critical to the success of each student.
